Bill Jameson, CFP

Bill Jameson, CFP®

Bill Jameson, president of WJ Interests, has more than 30 years of management experience in leading successful business enterprises. Prior to forming WJ Interests in 1996, his emphasis was business financial/strategic planning and analysis of bond financing for public works and infrastructure projects.

A longtime resident of Fort Bend County, Bill has served as president of the Fort Bend Chamber of Commerce, chairman of the Fort Bend Economic Development Council, and former president of a successful Houston-based consulting engineering firm. He currently is a board member for The George Foundation and the Gulf Coast Rail District, and a consultant for the Fort Bend Toll Road Authority. Bill is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and a registered investment advisor with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Bill and his wife live in Sugar Land.

As a CFP® professional, Bill has met the rigorous experience and ethical requirements of the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards. He has successfully completed the Board's financial planning coursework and passed the certification examination covering the following areas: the financial planning process, risk management, investments, tax planning and management, retirement and employee benefits, and estate planning.

 

Jared Jameson, MBA, CFP?

Jared Jameson, MBA, CFP®

Jared Jameson, vice president and chief investment officer for WJ Interests, received his MBA in Finance from the University of Texas at Austin in 1993. Jared also is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and a registered investment advisor with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

Jared is active in the Fort Bend community. He has served in numerous capacities for the Sugar Land Rotary Club. He serves on the board of directors for the Fort Bend County Women’s Center, for which he has been president and treasurer, and for OakBend Medical Center. Jared also serves on the boards for Sugar Land Town Square TIRZ and Fort Bend Green. He lives with his wife and daughter in Sugar Land.

Derek Finley, CFP

Derek Finley, CFP®

Derek Finley joined WJ Interests in 2008, first as a summer intern and then as associate planner. He holds a BS in financial planning from Texas Tech University, one of the few colleges in the country to offer this degree. Derek earned his CFP® designation in October 2010. He also is a registered investment advisor with US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

Derek is a member of the board of the Central Fort Bend Chamber Alliance and serves on its Young Professionals and Ambassadors councils. He also is a member of the Richmond Rotary Club and a 2009 graduate of the Fort Bend Leadership Forum sponsored by the Fort Bend Chamber of Commerce, a 2012 graduate of Leadership for Non-Profit Excellence, sponsored by the Fort Bend Chamber of Commerce and the George Foundation, and a 2013 graduate of Leadership Fort Bend, sponsored by the Central Fort Bend Chamber Alliance. Derek and his wife live in Rosenberg.

Alisha Weaver, CPA

Alisha Weaver, CPA

Alisha Weaver, manager of financial planning, joined WJ Interests in 2003. She is a certified public accountant and assists with financial planning, equity and fixed-income research, and trading.

Prior to joining WJ Interests, Alisha was manager of financial reporting and compliance for Nuevo Energy Co., a Houston-based oil and gas company. She held this position from 1998 through March 2002. Prior Nuevo, Alisha was an audit manager with Arthur Andersen, LLP.

Alisha earned her BBA in accounting from Texas A&M University. She is a member of the Pi Beta Phi Alumnae Association. She, her husband and their four children live in Sugar Land.

 

Faye Roach

Faye Roach

Accounts manager Faye Roach joined WJ Interests in June 2006. She works directly with clients and their accounts, and manages WJ’s relationships with client custodians.

From 2002 to 2006, Faye was personal assistant to the portfolio manager at Gulf Investment Management (acquired by Oppenheimer Funds in 2002), a private money management firm with more than $2.3 billion under management. Prior to Gulf Investment Management, Faye was accounts manager and personal assistant at Ameriprise Financial (formerly American Express Financial Advisors) from 1988 to 2000.

Faye resides in Missouri City.

 

Susan Barnes

Susan Barnes

Susan Barnes joined WJ Interests in September 2006. As office manager, she is responsible for the “behind-the-scenes” operations of the business.

Susan has BA degrees in journalism and theatre from Wichita State University, and additional training in business systems and organization. Previous projects include developing an FAA-approved system for adding aircraft and airport stations to an aviation certificate and creating a delivery system for voting machines that was adopted by the Sedgwick County Election Commission.

Susan and her husband live Missouri City.
